Welcome to Poly Hoops, where we are dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of Polynesian basketball players. Our mission is to foster young talent, celebrate our rich cultural heritage, and support athletes in achieving their full potential both on and off the court.

Our Vision: We believe in the power of basketball to unite and uplift communities. By providing expert coaching, valuable mentorship, and opportunities for growth, we aim to develop not only skilled athletes but also confident leaders and role models.

Our Coaches

Our coaches at Poly Hoops are seasoned NBL1 players who know the game inside and out, dedicated to developing the next generation of Polynesian basketball talent.

Jonah Palelei

Coach

An Australian-born athlete with Tongan roots, plays NBL1 for the Cockburn Cougars, represents Tonga, and proudly repped his heritage at the Pacific Games.

Marcus Inu

Coach

A New Zealand-born Samoan raised in Australia, plays NBL1 for the Warwick Senators, driven by a commitment to give his all on the court while representing his team and family.

Jada Manese

Coach

A 23-year-old Samoan from South Auckland, plays NBL1 for Lakeside Lightning in Perth, reigniting her basketball career after a 5-year break with unwavering determination and passion.

Ella Fotu

Coach

A New Zealand-born coach with Samoan roots, plays D-League for the Warwick Senators, has suited up for NBL1 West, and mentors young Polynesian athletes through Poly Hoops.

Faitala Patu

Coach

A Samoan-Australian basketball talent, plays for the Cockburn Cougars, signing with NBL1 at 15, and represents Western Australia at the national level.

Alira Fotu

Coach

A Tongan-Australian guard for the Perry Lakes Hawks, Perth Lynx development player, and Australian camp squad member, dedicated to inspiring the next generation.
